Their are four species of plasmodium as Plasmodium vivax, plasmodium ovals , plasmodium Malariae , plasmodium falciparum. only falciparum can causes serious illness.
Signs and symptoms:
Symptoms of malaria beginning to appear about 7 to 15 days after the Bite of infected mosquito.
(1):- Initial symptoms are fever headache and chills.
(2):- Classical symptoms of Malaria is cycling occurrence of high fever followed by sweating and sudden shivering.
(3):- Vomiting and convulsions.
(4):- Arthralgia (joint pain ) ,anemia due to
Rupturing of RBCs.
(5):- Retinal damage. (Eye)
(6):- Cerebral Malaria(Brain infection)
(7):-Haemoglobinuria,hepatomegaly ( Liver enlargement).
Mode of transmission:
Malaria can be translate plasmodium is transmitted from one person to other through an insect vector female anaphalis mosquito is the main causes of malaria.
When female mosquito anaphalis suck the human blood if I transfer sporozoites to human circulation. sporozoites reproduce asexually through fusion sporozoites complete their half cycle in in insect vector and rest of the half cycle complete in human hepatic cell.
Diagnosis and Treatment:
Malaria can diagnose by microscopic study of blood Smear.
other Rapid Diagnostic test based on nucleic acid amplification techniques are also used.
Prevention and control:
(1):- Prevention of mosquito bite by using mosquito net.
(2):- spraying insecticides and draining stagnant water where mosquito laying eggs.
(3):- Gaumbusia fresh water fish can also
use .
Now the day malaria is the leading disease which is causes by female mosquito anopheles.
Every year in India the patient of Malaria is 1000 per year one of the leading disease which have medicine.but prevention is better than cure so protect from Malaria insect by using mosquito mosquito net is one of the most affordable and various safe device to be used.
