What is Pnenumonia and what is common cold it's prevention and treatment
Pneumonia
" pneumonia is an inflammatory condition of lungs or alveoli of lungs.
it is caused by variety of pathogens which may be viruses like "influenza virus" , "adenovirus" , "para influenza" and respiratory Syncytial virus (RSV). Pneumonia can also caused by bacteria like "Streptococcus pneumoniae" or fungal pathogens.
Pneumonia can also be caused by chemical burn aur physical injury of lungs.
Signs and symptoms:
(1):- Cough produces Yellow or greenish sputum or phlegm.
(2):- High fever.
(3):- Shortness of breath ( Dyspnea) .
(4):- Chest pain during deep breath or coughing.
(5):-Loss of appetite,fatigue,Headaches,vomiting,joint pain And muscle aches.
Mode of transmission:
Ammonia mostly separated by direct person to person contact.
if you contact a pneumonia patients and patient will singe the pneumonia particle will be come in your body and it will affect you.
it can also spread by droplets released by the infected person or even using shared cloth or utensils.
So don't share your cloth with other and utensil.keep away from pneumonia patients.
Diagnosis and treatment:
Course of treatment depends upon pathogen leading to the disease.
for bacterial pneumonia antibiotic like "benzyl penicillin" , "Ampicillin" , "Chloramphenicol" are effective.
Prevention and control:
(a):- Vaccination is an important prevention in both children and adult.
(b):- vaccine against "Haemophilus influenzae" and Streptococcus pneumoniae in first year of life help greatly to reduce the chance of causing pneumonia.
Common cold
It is a viral infection disease of upper respiratory reason it is also known "Nasopharyngitis" ,acute viral rhinopharyngitis, acute coryza or a cold.
It is caused by a group of virus known as Rhinoviruses and coronaviruses.
Signs and symptoms:
(1):- cough sore throat running nose and fever .
(2):- Nasal congestion, sneezing.
(3):- Conjunctivitis (red eyes).
(4):- Muscle rashes, fatigue,headache, shivering and loss and of appetite.
Prevention and control:
(a):- Staying away from person suffering from common cold.
(b):- Washing hands Whit soap and water.
(c):- Use of handkerchief to cover the nose and mouth during coughing and sneezing.
(d):- Alcohol based hand sanitizer can also be used.
